| ABSTRACT Teachers and researchers will introduce new teachers and practitioners across sectors to Knowledge Building pedagogy and Knowledge Forum (an online environment, specifically developed to support knowledge building). Issues to be addressed include: • How should learning and knowledge be conceptualized in a knowledge building classroom? • How can designers and teachers support a shift from more traditional approaches to teaching and learning to a knowledge building approach? • What roles do teachers play? What roles do students play? • How do we assess student learning and knowledge advancement? • What forms of ongoing support are needed? |
