2009 Knowledge Building Summer Institute: Knowledge Creativity in Teacher Education,
Education for Knowledge Creation. August 29th-Sep. 2, 2009 - Palma de Mallorca, Spain

Education for Knowledge Creation

In keeping with the goal of continual improvement, the focus of the Knowledge Building Summer Institute will be "Education for Knowledge Creation." Society as a whole stands in greater need of new knowledge than ever to address economic, environmental, health, and other challenges of an increasingly complex world. A fundamental challenge is to find ways to increase the ability of individuals and groups in all sectors of society to create and work with knowledge—to develop "21st century knowledge and skills." This year's conference is aimed at advancing the state of knowledge necessary to meet this fundamental challenge.

This conference provides a unique opportunity to meet and learn from educators, researchers, students and policy makers who share the goal of preparing citizens and organizations for work in a Knowledge Age.
